The LODGE Lodge Logic Double Dutch Oval L8DD3 is a new model with a deep lid and a handle on the kitchen oven loop handle. Lid can also be used as a skillet. You can roll a sponge cake or dish potato or flip it over for double sided cooking. After many years of research from Lodge, this is a ready-to-use. The Lodge Logic has been finished with a coating on the surface to give it a stately finished product that has been used for many years. LODGE Lodge was born in 1896 by Joseph Lodge in South Pittsburgh, USA. Since then, we have been adhering to cast irons with the belief that choosing good tools is the first step in creating delicious dishes. LODGE cast iron products are pre-seasoned with soy oil and factory use. Just pop it out of the box and wash it with warm water and you can use it immediately without any messy break-in. Cast iron features slow transfer of heat. Cast iron may be similar to stone than iron with high heat conductivity. Furthermore, the flesh build of 5 mm enhances its metallic properties. This gives you the heat control that other cookware can, and brings the flavor of the ingredients out of the core. It can be used for direct flames, induction heaters, halogen heaters, as well as in the oven. Not for microwave use

Simply love it. Use it in the Big Green Egg grill and it perfectly fits since all the measurments were perfectly and correctly described on the photos. The food is coming out delicious from it. Although the chef is the most important factor, nevertheless the Lodge pot is also. The great thing is that you can use the top to cook in it for more shallow cooking needs.

Perfect for baking sourdough bread. The flat top makes it easier to transfer the dough, and then put in oven upside down.

We haven't had our dutch oven very long, but so far our roasts and casseroles have tasted great. We get fast and even cooking, and have baked in the oven as well as on top the stove with it. Diligent care, such as oiling after every washing and periodic seasoning is essential. Looking forward to trying it on the camp fire.

Excellent value for a cast iron pan. Used it for cooking as well as baking bread. Only took one star off because there was a little bit of damage on the product already. Not enough to truly bother me, but worth noting!

I've made naan bread using the lid alone. I have made bread perfectly. It conducts heat nicely and super versatile. Very happy with product. Highly recommend!

Le dimensioni della pentola sono buone, ancora non l’ho provata, è arrivata 10 minuti fa, ma ha dei punti di ruggine che non mi piacciono, non vorrei che con il tempo possano peggiore. Penso che la renderó, per ritentare un nuovo acquisto.

The cast iron is perfectly cured out of the box. It performs great even after a lot of uses. Just make sure you don't machine wash it and follow the strict maintenance instructions and i am convinced it can last you a lifetime.

After reviewing a significant amount of information on the healthiest cookware, I decided to go with the cast iron from Lodge. So far it cooks great hashbrowns, eggs, grilled cheese sandwiches, and spagetti sauce. BUT I made the mistake of cooking chili in it the first time and sticking it in the fridge overnight. So it rusted immediately. But Lodge says that's no problem on their website and gives you instructions on how to refinish it easily. I used fine steel wool and coconut oil to reseason and it's worked great ever since. So easy to cook with and totally non-stick now.
