Only use this with cold food...if you scrape a hot pot, the tip melts ........ not a burning pot, just a soup pot ...cannot believe Rubbermaid would make this scaper that cannot be used in cooking.

Not pleased with the false advertising stating it is “made in America”, it is not!It is also huge! No where in the description did it give a dimension for how big the scraper part is... it will not fit in an ordinary jar!I’m sure the product will work, but do not appreciate false advertising.

The spatula is absolutely perfect in every way. I wish I could find one in every kitchen that I cook in. These are used commercially all across the nation. People think every spatula is supposed to be heat proof or cook proof. That is not the case. Heat proof spatulas are made from silicone and are usually too soft to do the tasks of a Rubbermaid spatula. If you want a heat resistant spatula look elsewhere.

I cook every day, and I have a large collection of quality tools for the purpose. This is one of them.White is right. A super-functional tool like this should be white so you can easily see that it is clean.The design is perfect, and this particular size is the most useful one for all-around spatulizing. Professional chefs don't waste even a drop of their precious ingredients, they use tools like these to get 100% transfer from step A to step B.A person who cooks a lot will have several rubber spatulas in various sizes. For most of my cooking this one gets the most use. It is very durable and dishwasher-safe. It should last a very long time, even under hard and frequent use.

Exactly what I remember having when I first started baking over 40 years ago. Nicely flexible without being too wimpy to stir stiff batters & great for scraping the sides of the mixing bowl. Long enough to reach the bottom of my Kitchen Aid mixing bowl without getting my hands against the sides, so I'm glad I got the 13 1/2" instead of the 9" version....but not so long it becomes unwieldy to work with.I don't understand another reviewer who complained of it being made in China, since mine arrived with zero packaging except for the UPC sticker wrapped around the handle, nothing says where it was made at all. I was a little surprised that the blade had black marks and gritty dirt on it, but it washed off easily with warm water & soap. Perhaps it being the commercial version means it rattles around in a large bin with tons of them, so gets more exposed to dirt & dust.

When received, I realized it was way too large a spatula paddle for home baking. It was ‘returned’ & money refunded back to our CC. If you have commercial sized baking to do, this spatula would be ideal. The silicone should be heat resistant.

This is a pro... every pro kitchen has a dozen of these... scrape a bowl with this and you won't even have to wash it... seriously... BUY IT... IT'S $4! heat resistant and large. It is a great addition to any kitchen.

They put a sticker on the handle that you cannot remove. It is mind boggling why they decided to do this to such a simple item. We had to return them. Not soaking, not scrubbing, not boiling, not bleach could remove the glue they put on the sticker. There was NO need to make unpacking a spatula this difficult. DO NOT BUY THIS. You’ll make yourself crazy trying to get the stickers off.
