I use it to literally to cut any vegetables including carrots pepper tomatoes zucchini pretty much all the vegetables. One thing that you really have to watch for is not to chop big chunks as it may cause the side prongs to break. Always cut your veggies in quarters to avoid breakage

Do not buy. The base cracked the third time I used it - normal use, pre-chopped veg as recommended. Replacement parts are no longer available from National Express. I was told that the part may be available on Amazon, but it’s hit or miss. Missed. I’m buying a different brand with a lifetime guarantee because when the chopper worked it was great!

This works very well with soft vegetables like cucumber and zucchini. I have used this several times to cut onions, but it’s difficult to chop thru even with 2 hands.
